Cheb i Sabbah, DJ, musical adventurer, global spiritualist and producer extraordinaire has returned to the Indian subcontinent for Devotion, his seventh album on Six Degrees Records. Hundreds of artists in the world music genre, or for that matter any genre, have come and gone like bottle rockets, but Cheb i Sabbah's light keeps burning and it is his bhakti (devotion) to the spiritual essence of music, and to truth and humanity, that is responsible for his longevity. In the past, Cheb i Sabbah produced trippy and mellifluous prayers to the Hindu goddess Durga and sung beatific stories of Lord Krishna, but with this fantastic new record he gets to the center of the universe itself and investigates the nature of devotion. South Asia is a kaleidoscope of multiple faiths, fantasies, languages, cultures and sub-cultures. It is not an easy task to sift through the rich but massive tapestry of religious devotional music and distill it into a flawless 62-minute summary of prayer.

The Musical Healing Ministry of JAH LEVI is a mystical, musical expression of love, and a service to humanity, divinely inspired and livicated to the upliftment of all beings.

A guitarist for nearly 40 years, Dee, for the past 15 years has been studying many musical traditions and focusing on a variety of plucked stringed instruments and techniques.

Instruments as of 2003 include: Indian slide guitar, Sarod, Sitar, Lute, 4 & 5 string Banjo, Dulcimer, Mandolin, Mandola, Octave Mandolin, Bouzuki, Saz, National Steel Guitar, Rubab, Ukelele,
Oud, Cuatro as well as Acoustic and Electric Guitar and bass.

Previous to the time of Chaitanya, mantras were chanted but not sung with melodies and instruments to which later dancing was also added.Chaitanya preached that God is within the heart of every living being, and the heart is thus the abode of divine love. Kirtan opens up the heart to revive the divine love that is already present but now covered by material desires. Chaitanya devoted his life to spreading Kirtan, and in the early sixteenth century CCE he traveled throughout India bringing it to all communities. He attracted thousands of followers and was received with great affection by people of every caste and creed. Largely due to his influence millions of people in India chant kirtan in one form or another.

JAH LEVI AND THE HIGHER REASONING, are world class musicians who are versatile enough to spontaneously perform all genres of music. His ability as a band leader is exemplified by the trust and loyalty of his group, several of whom have been with him since the group's beginning and many who return (from the far corners of the globe) to perform year after year. They perform a unique blend of Reggae-Rastafarian music that is spiritually uplifting and fun to dance to. JAH LEVI founded THEOCRATIC RECORDS, one of the first independent reggae record labels in america, and JAH WORKS STUDIOS, the first solar powered digital (24-bit) recording studio in the world.

10:30- Midnight DJ Cheb I Sabbah

He moved to Paris in the 1960s, and, more or less by accident, became a DJ. His complex cultural background may have prompted him to mix musical styles. By the late 1980s, he was pushing boundaries on the dance floor, seeking ways to work African, Asian, and Arabic music into the mix; using instruments such as the doumbek, sarangi, harmonium, oud, violin, and mrindangam. Then, as the world fusion music movement unfolded, Cheb i Sabbah began recording traditional and classical musicians himself and used those tracks to create his own works.
Playing along with Chebiji will be Dan Covan on the Hand sonic and several tabla players

They are ready to share with you Wat Po style Thai Yoga Therapy. Thai Massage has its roots in the ancient medicine of Indian Ayurvedic practice. The influence of Yoga is also present in the body positions and the stretching movements that are part of Thai Massage. The original practitioners were Buddhist monks in northern India in the 2nd and Ist centuries B.C. Prior to modern times in Thailand, the Wats (Buddhist temples) served as Thailand's predominant centers of education, healing and social life. While today some of the Buddhist temples in Thailand and in Laos still maintain the practice of monks and nuns administering Ancient Thai Massage, it is now generally practiced at Thai Massage centers or institutes which also teach the art. Certain features are characteristic of Thai Massage. It is performed on a mat, on the floor, rather than on a raised table. This allows for many movements and procedures that are not practical or effective in table work, and sometimes impossible.
